Taxi in Borsh — transfers to the longest beach on the Riviera
Borsh has one of the longest continuous shorelines on the Albanian coast, with olive groves running inland behind it and the ruins of a hilltop castle above. It is further south than most day visitors get from Dhërmi, which is exactly why it stays quieter.
Reaching Borsh
Borsh lies south of Qeparo on the coastal road, with the village set back from the sea and the beach reached by a descent. The length of the shore means the drop-off point matters — the far ends of the beach are a long walk from the main access, and the right place to be left depends on where you are actually going.
Tell us the beach bar, hotel or section of shore you are heading for and we will take you to the nearest point rather than the first one we come to.
From Dhërmi this is a substantial coastal journey past Vuno, Himarë and Qeparo. From Himarë or Qeparo it is much shorter, and from Sarandë it is a straightforward run north.
Borsh journeys
Beach drop-off and return
Out for the day with an agreed pickup time, which matters here because the beach is long and the road is above it.
From Himarë or Qeparo
A short southbound transfer along the coast, often as a day trip with a return.
From Dhërmi
The long coastal run south, usually booked as a day out or as a one-way transfer when moving accommodation.
Towards Sarandë
Continuing south to Sarandë, Ksamil and the Corfu ferry.
The village, the olives and the castle
Behind the beach, Borsh is agricultural country: terraces of olive trees that have been worked for generations, with the old village above them and the remains of a castle on the hill overlooking the coast.
It is a different kind of Riviera stop from the beach-club bays further north — fewer facilities, more space, and a view that takes in the whole sweep of the shore.
If you want to combine the beach with the village and the castle viewpoint, a vehicle booked for a set period works better than separate journeys.

Frequently asked questions
Where exactly on Borsh beach will you drop us?
Wherever you need, within the access roads. Tell us the hotel, beach bar or section of shore you are heading for when you book — the beach is long and the right drop-off saves a considerable walk.
Is Borsh worth the drive from Dhërmi?
It is a longer journey than Himarë or Jal, and it suits travellers who want a quieter, more open beach. If you only have an afternoon, somewhere closer may serve you better — we will say so if you ask.
Can you take us to the castle above Borsh?
We can drive towards the hilltop area; the final approach to the ruins is on foot. Mention it when you book so the time is accounted for.
Do you drive from Borsh to Sarandë?
Yes. It is a straightforward southbound journey and a common leg for travellers continuing down the coast.
Heading south to Borsh?
